2009 The Shining Through of the Glory of God
In a time when the news media continues to bombard us with sound bites of gloom and doom, the Word of the Lord is to expect “The Shining Through of the Glory of God.” What does that mean? It means the following: trust God to be anything and everything to you that you need Him to be in 2009! It also means to expect double for your trouble!
If you are a child of God (you have been born again-according to John 3:7 –“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again” and Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”), this word is for you! Hallelujah!
Stay in His presence and He will be your provision (and your provider-Jehovah Jireh), honor, praise and worship Him and He will be your dignity! Keep Him first and He will bring the glory that brings promotion.
Yes, there are hard times ahead in the world but you “child of God” don’t live according to the world system! You live according to the Kingdom of God. This word is not a panacea; it requires that you cooperate with God by doing the following:
• Stay in position: continue to pray, tithe, attend church, support others, etc.
• Believe and receive the Word of God: follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
• Speak the Word only: don’t speak the circumstances no matter what you see.
• Act on the Word: match your actions to the word like it’s already done.
• Walk in forgiveness and love: show mercy.
• Live a holy life: live close to God’s instructions to receive grace and favor.
If things seem to get worse, don’t mess up the set-up, don’t be like the ten who went to spy out the Promised Land but murmured and complained and did not believe what God had said. God told them that He had given them the land. They were afraid because of their own lack of confidence and formidable distractions (giants in the land). They did not consider the power of an Almighty God! They did not consider what God had already done, the miracles that He had preformed to bring them where they were, they forgot the God factor. Be like Caleb and Joshua who agreed with God (that they were well able to take the land! -Numbers 14). Remember, being with the wrong people may cause you delay, although Caleb and Joshua were right, they experienced forty years of wandering in the wilderness because of the who they were with. Make sure that your companions are people of like precious faith. Don’t mess up the set-up by murmuring and complaining, it may look like you are going down but God’s intention is to bring you into the promise land! Stay close to God and speak the Word only, not the circumstances or what you see.
Remember Job experienced nine months of adversity and Joseph experienced thirteen years but each of them received double for their trouble and they were Old Covenant (Testament) believers, we are New Covenant (Testament) believers with a better covenant! We are covered by the blood of Jesus! We can speak to the mountain! I’m excited and full of expectation for “The Shining Through of the Glory of God and Double for My Trouble in 2009.” God bless you and Happy New Year!
